I'm new here, Seronegative Arthritis

Hi All,

Id love to hear anything from anyone who shares a similar story , or has any clue what might be going on.

I was diagnosed with Juvenile arthritis at 10, I went into remission at 20, I came out of remission at 30, I do not have Rheumatoid Arthritis now, I do not have any markers in my blood, no bone damage, no morning stiffness.

It is dubbed juvenile idiopathic arthritis, or seronegative arthritis. I have pain in every joint, swelling in some, fatigue constantly. I am prone to tendinitis which occurs in elbows, wrists, hips mostly.

I have tried Salazapyrin, plaquenil as well as lyrica, amitriptyline, drugs like Methotrexate, Cimzia, Orencia have left me with reoccurring abscess' and infections.

I have just started taking low dose naltrexone, LDN, prescribed by Rheum, I do not know if it will have any affect as of yet, My GP is skeptical of this drug, my Rheumatologist or Pharmacist cannot give me any concrete information on it.

I cannot work, I cannot predict flares which are frequent, I rest a lot but use the good times to see friends etc.

I am hopeful for the future, that I will go into remission again, or at least that healthy eating and gentle exercise, as well as getting my head around the limitations I have now again, will lead to some better quality of life than this.

Thanks for reading,

Wishing everyone a Pain free Day :)

Ellen
