Worried about your cholesterol?

There have been a few postsof late from people worried about their cholesterol levels - something I have no concerns about whatsoever.

Have a look at the latest from Ivor Cummins if this is your standpoint. It will give you reassurance, then I'd suggest you watch the film 'Widomaker' which Ivor points you to to drive the message home. I can't get the links to work, so go to youtube and plumb in:

Ivor Cummins - from Soil Health to Nutrient Dense Diets to Healthy Hearts!

And:

The Widowmaker - it could save your life !

Ivor Cummins posts some great stuff on YouTube. His videos are occasionally rather poorly-edited and/or longwinded, but he's a goldmine of information.

I've watched the video now, it's fantastic and I can see why you posted it, so many thanks.

He raises all sorts of issues I was largely unaware of and he has a great way of putting the point across. I shall be watching a lot more of his videos.

Really good video. Thanks for posting it. I read 2 books on cholesterol and spent a week on PubMed - could have just watched this, as it's the exact same info.

My endo is badgering me about my cholesterol, which is not that high but over 5, and made me think I was about to drop dead! Had a really stressful time until I learned the truth. Obviously, she wanted me on statins, yet statins do nothing for women: ever. I learned they have only ever helped men over 50 with existing heart disease - and even then, they think it's to do with statins thinning the blood and being anti-inflammatory - and they work DESPITE lowering cholesterol.

I also learned that low cholesterol is linked to higher incidents of cancer and... heart disease!

That said, I know I'm a high risk for heart problems. I've eaten tonnes of sugar my whole life, since I never put on weight. I used to smoke, and I enjoyed - ahem - recreational substances...

Anyway, it's LCHF diet for me from now on that is mainly plant-based with organic, pastured meat.

I was very interested to hear that there were instances when some of the damage was reversed - never read that before. It gives me hope!
