I was going to post this here, but I thought it really deserved a wider audience, otherwise I'm just preaching to the choir:

It's a presentation by a retired heart surgeon explaining his own experience with heart disease - from the blunt end of the scalpel - and what he chose to do about it. It didn't work out too well for him, but at least he's getting the word out there.
