Critical condition of ITP pateint.

My sister is in ICU from last 16 days. Daily transfusion is approx 08 units. Revolade failed. Thrombomax injections failed.Dexamethazone failed. Pls advise what can i do? Platteletes count 11000. HB 7.6 and still falling. Spleen size 14 cm. In bone marrow report, Displasia clearly seen. Should i go to Rituxin (Rituximab). Plz help

Make sure they aren’t allergic to anything in nplate. It caused my bp to rise to 215/109! I had a mini stroke and an analyphtic allergic reaction. No liver disease on nplate. So sorry you are going through this. Find out as much as you can about different treatments.

Hi Selma2030, how’s your sister doing today? Have the doctors been able to stop the bleeding? It’s unusual to continue to bleed for over two weeks, was there an an acute injury? How are you holding up? Be strong, it will get better
