Hello has anyone known or heard of ITP that began at 3 years old and healed after years? My daughter has had ITP for the past 3 years she’s 6 now and I’m looking for hope, answers and remedies to help her cure before she turns into a teenager and has uncontrollable periods.

Sorry to hear about your little girl. During all the reading I have done on the subject of ITP, I am sure I read that childhood ITP can go into remission and not reappear. However do not take this information at face value, it does not happen in every case. If I were you I would consult your health professional, I am sure a more qualified person will have the answers you are looking for. Good luck.

Hiya, oh dear sorry to hear about your poor daughter. My 7yr old son has been suffering from itp for almost 2yrs and we also are getting disheartened that it will never get better☹️

Hematoligest said last time that even chronic itp tends to get better in childhood cases, so here’s hoping.. I have him on an immune support multivitamin and as much healthy foods as I can get him to eat.

After reading your message I just thought having a daughter with periods looming must be even scarier

Good afternoon. My 12 yr old was diagnosed Nov 29 with a count of 3. So she has for the most part been between 1 and 35 since then with a couple of high points that were short lived. She has not started her period yet and I am dreading the day she does and I am thinking any day now! All I can do is pray that she wont get it till we can get her numbers right. Her father also has ITP but it is very rare as it is not hereditary . This site offers a lot of useful information. We have tried a tone of different vitamins but with no luck. Diet is a great place to start. Best wishes for a fast recovery for your little one

Sadly there NO cure at this time, long remissions as long as 10 years yes read post of jamesheather1, you will like his story
