Bleeding
I had an ovarian cyst that caused post menopausal bleeding. I would get in touch with an OBGYN Oncologist! Or a very good OBGYN. They have been monitoring mine with ultra sound and pelvic exams it has shrunk lately so I don’t have to go back until next year. Sometimes I get that and I am very post menopausal. I have been told after a thorough exam that sometimes, it can be normal. However, set up an appointment with an OBGYN as soon as you can. I am not trying to alarm you, but it needs to be examined. They won’t do a hysterectomy on me due to my itp. Last count they were around 35. Take care and be proactive.
Hi. I'm also fairly recently post menopausal and suffer from ITP. I was getting occasional light bleeding. Although I was aware that It was probably related to the condition I couldn't help worrying. My thinking was that even women with ITP must sometimes get cervical/uterine cancers. So I saw my GP talked it through and got referred for an ultrasound scan and then a detailed cervical check at a colposcopy clinic. All was well except for some non-malignant changes that are common post menopause and since my count has risen the bleeding has stopped. So I think my advice is to talk it through with your GP and get it checked. It is very likely to related to the ITP but it's good to put your mind at rest.

Hello,
I have been experiencing spotting between periods with low counts, and even noticed that my period takes a long time to taper if my count is low. I also hold the view that it's related to the ITP, but that's just my opinion based on what i've noticed with myself. It's like the platelets are too low to maintain the uterine lining, so it 'leaks'. i don't know if this helps. Perhaps other females have experiences similar to this?
