Confused! Do I have an underlying problem or is my psoriatic arthritis & medication causing these new symptoms??

Hi, I am a 39 year old woman. I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis 2 years ago after several misdiagnosis! I have tried all kinds of medication, I will be starting a new biologic drug treatment next week as enterept didn’t work either.

Prednisone has always worked for me it takes all the swelling down and eases the pain. My effected area is mostly my feet and left knee. I have been on a 40mg of prednisone daily for 7 weeks reducing by 5 per week. Awwww ago my knee flared up twice the size I had a awful pain in my calf too and tightness I never had it before especially on the prednisone! It settled down and has now came back worse. I’ve also had a chest infection for a couple of weeks but the prednisone usually helps.

Does anyone know why this maybe happening? My family want me to go to A&E but I am thinking this is related to my arthritis even though I am still on prednisone. The only side effects I usually suffer with prednisone is weight gain. I am 5ft tall and 9st??
