Is there a connection?

Is there a connection between itp and haemophilia? My sister and both her sons have haemophilia, my daughter has itp, is there a link or is this just an unfortunate coincidence?

No I do not think so, at least I have not heard this. It can be caused by a few things at least that is what I in all the literature about it but it can be hereditary or just happen for no apparent reason. It is an inconvienence and should be dealt with as such I guess. I actually found out when I had my bone marrow biopsy, my hemotologist figured that is what I had but we found out for sure. I have not known about this for long and I still get spaced out sometimes but if there is not much that can be done then there is no point worrying about it I guess. I eat well now and I am going to get back into exercising asap and watch my platelet count as much as possible other that that I do not think there is anything that can be done since it can not be cured as yet.
