My mom is 89 and has ITP for several years. Her N-plate shots are no longer working and she is in the hospital, with a count of 5,000. Anyone have success with other treatments?

Sorry to hear that, what else has she previously tried? How about Revolade?

I was on Nplate for three years until recently when I started to take Revolade (eltrombopag) tablets. The plate was working fine for me maintaining a count of 40,000 to 60,000, but I found it very tying. I was put on the tablets a month ago to see if I could tolerate them and after three weeks my count had shot up to 487,000! My dose of 50mg was reduced to 25mg and I have to go back to the hospital next week to have my blood taken to see if my count has come down. As taking the tablets is obviously an unqualified success in my case, it might also work for your mother. At least it's worth asking about it. Good luck!
