Which type of treatment works well for ITP

My father aged 63 is suffering from ITP. I am from andhrapradesh, Indiaa.He is on steroids now.Count is around 20000.I am very much confused about treatment where to go.Could anybody suggest in this issue.He is diagnosed in February 2016.

I am at present taking papaya leaf extract  in pill form.  I had to stop Homeo meds as the med I took for Rheumatoid Arthritis ended up reducing my platelet count.  I tried Homeo as allopathic drugs for RA also reduce platelet count.  But you have only platelet problem.  Homeopathy is very good for this without side effects. Dr. Bhaskar  is a colleague of my homeopath.

Hi, I had to stop homeo treatment because it was not helping me. Medication for RA and ITP made matters worse. At present don't take anything for ITP. My platelet keeps fluctuating.

For RA, I follow Anti Inflammatory diet. So RA inflammation is better.

But my ITP has not been cured. There is no cure for any Auto Immune Disorder.

Hi.  There are two kinds of treatment (natural remedies and medical intervention).   As you already know the medical solution starts with steroids and for the tough cases, you need to know the cause as with bone marrow cause it is nplate or if it is immune system removing platelets it would be something like chemo treatment such as Rituxan.   But if you google for natural solutions you will find such things as consuming papaya leaf on a daily basis.  I wish you all the luck and God's blessing.

Hi,don't worry ITP is not a big issue it's just a funny game.wherein it's easy to manage.

Consult a Heamatalogy Doctor. He is the correct person to treatit.im 30yrs old.im having ITP since 2013.but first three months is a roller coaster ride.the count goes up and down.

I have taken prednisone, revolade and Dapsone. 

But take a consultation with the Dr and follow the treatment. Each and every person respond with there respective treatment.

I am from Delhi & my wife has ITP diagnosed during pregnancy, she is holding a count of 10,000 sometime.
