And so.. We are out. 2nd icsi failed. No embryos left. Back to square 1.

I was wondering if anyone has ever thought what happens to that transferred embryo that never attaches? When do we lose it? Sometime along the pessary? Or is it with the withdrawal bleed that follows the failed cycle?

The small micro-sized embryo, that has the potential of developing into a human being, and that we pin SOO many hopes and dreams on.. We lose it unknowingly and unceremoniously, somewhere along the way.
