Hi, my name Andreia and I have been diagnosed with infertility when I was 17 years old. I am also a nurse and made my life mission to give back to this community. I've just launched a free app called Enhanced Fertility Programme which is free and has an online course, CBT strategies, a support group amongst other things. I want to make fertility education and support available to everyone and thought it would be useful to share with you this resource that is available efp.clinic

I have always wondered what if there was no IVF/Surrogacy/etc. at all..? Such a huge number of people willing to have kids would have abandoned their hopes..I've got a friend with MRKH. In brief, this means living without a womb. So a woman knows from the beginning she'll never be able to give birth to a baby on her own..How destroying even the thought must be! I've always told my friend I understand how she feels. But literally I DON'T ! This is so cruel for a body to be wombless. Meaning living childfree or searching for sb else to carry the baby for you. Surrogacy is a great option to have. And blessed are the surrogates who turn one's life for better. I know for sure BTC in Ukraine has got a huge donor/surrogate database. One is sure to get the most effective match there as the choice is really wide. Btw, packages are also various. More affordable than in other countries. Not insisting though, but doing a good research will always benefit in the long run. Also no haste. Things should be thoroughly thought out. Talking to more people sailing in the similar boat is also useful. Wishing everyone the best in the journey.
Thanks for your post. If it's surrogacy path I'd highly recommend looking onto Ukraine too. Importantly, the surrogate cannot legally keep the child after the birth. On the contrary: the child is considered to legally belong to the prospective parents from the very moment conception. In fact, there has not been a single reported case of a disputed custody claim arising over a surrogate parenting arrangement. The same is about the validity of a surrogacy agreement. In sharp contrast, the laws in several U.S. states (and in Russian Federation) allow a surrogate mother to keep the child after its birth. Regardless of the agreements between the intended parents and surrogate mother. Surrogacy in Ukraine offers the following advantages:No limits on surrogacy related payments;
No additional legal procedures to obtain court order;
No adoption of your own child is required;
Ukrainian law allows to issue birth certificate to intended parents' names regardless of their genetic links to the child;
Donor or a surrogate mother has no parental rights over the child. He/she is legally the child of the prospective parents from the moment of conception. This makes the process safe.
Still loads of other things to consider.
I feel that suggesting surrogacy can be as upsetting as suggesting adoption or anything else for that matter for people who are infertile... everyone’s decision is very individual. I’ve been living with this for 20 years, I am a nurse, I know what the options are... but suggesting it doesn’t make the pain of not having children normally go away. I understand your intentions may be good but I am happy with where I am right now, and don’t need suggestions to ‘solve the problem’.
