Help , feeling really anxious and worried
Hi for now I will just say this I was sedated / ventilated for nearly 2 months, not for COVID, I came out of hospital just before the first lock down. You can search for me to find out more info
Thank you I will have a look at your posts. Just trying to stay positive and taking one day at a time.
I survived multiple organ failure, having leukaemia, flu, double pneumonia, sepsis, severe ARDS, became type 2 diabetic from steroid treatment. Heart, kidney & lung failure over 7week period, intubated and induced coma for 57 days in ICU 90 days.
I’m doing ok today. It is possible for a person to overcome huge odds
Thank you for your kind words, reading people’s experiences is really helping me through a tough day today
There are lots of stories of hope on here. Remain hopeful was the best advice we were given by a kind ICU consultant. 3 years on my brother is well. I know what it is like to be in your position. Stay strong. I hope your brother recovers well. My brother was placed in an induced coma on life support and was unconscious over a month.
So glad to hear your brother is well
Look at the stories of hope on here. And remember that every day our loved one is in ICU is a trial for the families, it’s so hard waiting and watching from afar. We all know how you feel. My husband was in ICU with Covid for 7 weeks. I got a lot of comfort from reading the stories on here.
