Is there a treatment for patients who are unconscious and are not waking up fully?

My husband has been unconscious for 3 months now. His lung has recovered and everything else is fine. He has had two mri’s of his brain and they’re all coming out clear and no brain damage is visible.

Is there any treatments avaliable for patients like him in the UK? (Is there some sort of clinic for treatment)?

We usually live in the uk but he has fallen ill while we was in turkey and now we’re trying to get him back to the UK because doctors here are saying they did all they can do for him. Some doctors and a neurologist are saying he’s going to be like this forever and he needs to be cared for at home but at the same time they’re saying that he could become conscious again any minute because his brain looks healthy. Doctors and treatment is very limited here.

There are many stories on here of people who have defied the odds and recovered. My younger brother was in a coma unconscious and it was a month before he began to wake up. It was incredibly hard. We were given a range of prognoses from he might be brain damaged and never wake up. Remain hopeful was the best advice from one kind ICU doctor. I am sorry I don’t know about how you would arrange to get your husband home to UK but I am sure others on here can and will advise you. Wishing you all the best for a good recovery for your husband. .
