Has anyone experienced recovery after someone is declared brain dead? I see a handful of miracles online. My fiancé experienced generalized capillary brain bleed after inhaling solvents on July 2. His brain was so swollen it had started to recede into his spine. He has struggled with addiction & mental health issues since I met him, but was just starting to seek real help & was feeling so positive for the first time in a long time. They’re scheduled to harvest his organs July 8. Part of me thinks maybe you give him more time on the ventilator... he seems to have teared up when I cried & when we play his music, which was always so meaningful to him. My heart is breaking.

I’m so sorry to read your post @DottyG77 - what a tragedy since he was starting to look for help. Praying for a miracle.
Will take all the prayers I can get. They are doing a final apnea test now... @georgiab123 what an incredible story. I am honored you shared that with me & will pray for your son’s continued recovery. @sepsur, thank you for your prayers too. We are all deserving of miracles.
Please ask them to delay the harvesting of his organs, many of us on this site say where there is life we have hope. So sad he was seeking help . Praying for you .
