Hello, I have a friend who had a second open heart surgery with many complications. Since he had heart failure he had to be put on the ECMO machine and an induced coma for 2 weeks. We praise God because he made it through it all. He got the ballon out and the ECMO and he is still sustaining very well. 4 days ago we started seeing that he deteriorated after they decided to do the tracheostomy procedure under general anesthesia. After he woke up from the induced coma (2 weeks) he was able to communicate and move his head, feet, and squeeze his hands. Now after the tracheostomy procedure he can not move his fingers or squeeze and he has uncontrolled head movements all day. They did a CT scan and found some liquid in his brain but they said it was nothing concerning. They have not told us why he is moving his head that way all day and when he is asleep it stops. It is also very weird that he is being so unresponsive when he was well before the tracheostomy. ANYONE, PLEASE HELP!!! If you have gone through something similar or if you have a family member I would love to hear about it. Thanks
