Is 71 been in icu for 13 days on ventilator and induced coma has had a tracheostomy still on ventilator and dyalis from yesterday. Sedation & pain meds stopped but won't wake up and there's no response to anything I'm worried sick

They tried to wake me up a couple of times and I wasn't responding I was in a coma for 4 weeks and 4 years later I still here ...

Please don't worry too much it's quite normal the drugs they use for an induced coma are very very strong

Fingers crossed it won't be long until he awake x

I was in a coma for two months it took eleven days to come to. The sedatives are really hardcore.

He's on "dialysis" are you saying?

If that's correct he has kidney failure and therefore any meds that they give him will take longer much longer to come out of his system.

It can take a while for a normal person to wake up, never mind a person with kidney failure.

When he awakes he's going to have delirium. I wouldn't be surprised if he has it for a good month after.
