My father was admitted for acute pancreatic on 17th January, he got ards problem on 24th January,he was on sedation for 17days, now Dr are saying both his pancreatic and ards has gone right. He is doing leg movements and head movement yet unable to follow instructions or fully awake from these seductive drugs(Dr said he is getting agitated). How long will he need more? Seductive drugs have been stopped since the last 5days. Please let me know!

When my father was in (twice this year), they gave him sedation until his body was out of stress because they don't want the body to be in distress. Both times, it took him a month to wake up.
