My dad is 78 and has been in intensive care for 11 days he woke up after 8 days but since then he is totally confused and seems to be getting worse they say it is normal and can last a few days but we are now on day 4 and he is not getting any clearer can anyone help me understand how long this can last thank you

It took me eleven days to come round from a two month coma - but I am 52. Age is a factor / everyone uniquely reacts to an induced coma and delirium is a result with some - there are articles on this too. Hope everything improves for your father

I was 55 and in ICU for over 3 weeks. I experienced delirium for 3/4 days after I came out of induced coma. I hope your dad is better soon.
