Lipid blood tests

I have had aps for bout four yr that i know of and have had no regular testing on my blood but recently my gp has sent a letter saying annual lipid testing is it just me or is that way to long to wait for testing on aps every yr surely it should be more regular what do you think x

Hi hon

I think the lipid test your docs sending for is checking your cholesterol, this is called the fasting lipid test, it's important that cholesterol is monitored in APS as any clogging or furring of arteries won't help blood flow with our sludgy blood!

I hope I'm right and this helps!

I have mine checked annually and take statin to keep cholesterol level down as mine started out really high! Runs in the family, thanks again Mum n Dad! :-)
