I in the US and been diagnosed for several years. Am on warfarin and plaquinil. Right now my right leg has been "asleep" for 24hours. Has good pedal pulse and only slightly cooler than left. Should I be concerned?

Welcome Gulfbreeze: I live in Illinois. If any abnormality continued over 12 hours, such as your right leg falling asleep, I would be concerned enough to call my doctor's nurse and ask if she thought there is reason for concern. Much would depend on the last time you were seen, how often duration of the symptom extends to 24 hours or more, if it is constant or intermitent and what other symptoms it accompanies. I have had my hand and foot fall asleep and get cooler, all week except it only lasts 20 minutes or so, but several times an evening. I happened to have an appt. today with my rheumatologist and she was not overly concerned. She checked pulses all over the place, but still I surmized she was not overly concerned or she would have stated so. I don't know your medical history and therein lies room for concern in any individual.
We can all support each other, but few of us have the medical training or expertise to answer a medical question. The best we can do is offer each other is emotional support, fresh ideas, a shoulder to cry on, remedies we've tried, similar cases and understanding. We can trade all sorts of information. We can gain strength and courage from each other. But none of us are MD's as far as I know. So what we share are experiences from the heart.
A little call can't hurt. If you were concerned enough to query the forum, you're concerned enough to obtain an opinion from your MD's nurse via phone call, particularly if it continues in the morning. Let the forum know what they said. I'd be curious to see if they answered similar to my MD.
Best of luck.

Hi gulf - have you had DVT in the past-- i think i would be concerned anyways- it could be a pinched nerve--- but to be on the safe side i would have it checked ------------------ jet----------------- up here in New Hamphire-----------------------------
Hello there, this seems rather a long time to me for it to be feeling like this, I think if I were you, I would be getting a check up with the right people, ie, whoever you know who monitors your APS etc. Hope you feel better soon. Mary F x
Suffered from dead leg since Sat until yesterday, went to GP and he did a D-dimer test save me going to the hospital - came back negative. I put it down to all of the conditions I have along with APS - peripheral neuropathy, Lupus, etc etc, despite burning sensation, it seems to have returned to normal.
I'm glad it's not a clot. If you still crave a diagnosis you might chart the pain. Is it worse with certain movements ? At certain temperatures? time of day? any difference when the weather changes?
