Hello, I had a series of scans etc to rule out cancer last year and the hospital are just about to run them again. I think it is just to rule things out. Try not to worry - sending hugs. xxx

Hey Jet: I used a prescription called Zyban to stop smoking. One is supposed to take it 12 weeks. One tiny pill. You smoke as much as you want after beginning and set a day to quit. I was really, really motivated to quit smoking so I picked one week. (The medicine takes a while to work in your system so one week is the shortest stop time they recommend.) By the end of 5 days of smoking any time I wanted - my smoking had regressed to less than 1/2 of my norm. I didn't really notice. I just didn't want to smoke. It simply didn't occur to me. I stopped on my stop date and NO LONGER CRAVED a cigarette. I had a 2 pack a day, menthol, 30 year habit. I stayed on the medicine another 12 weeks as I had such a terrible habit for so long. My MD said I didn't need to but I was so afraid I would backslide I wanted to be certain. I have never smoked or had a craving to smoke since. I did pick up 10 pounds but no other ill effects. That was 15 years ago. You might ask your doctor about it if you really want to quit. I did not have the dx of APS then, although I know I had APS. Well, it worked for me and if it helped just one more person it would warm my heart. Check into it Jet.

Warm wishes and it really works!
