Hello there,

I've just been trying to get reasonable travel insurance cover and finally went with a company called goodtogo. In their breakdown of whay they cover, they do list activities such as scuba diving and skydiving etc as being covered with the right premium so they might well be worth a try.

Good luck!

Helen.

Hi Miley,

Way to go! I sort of answered this not long ago. Owned a travel agency and was certified to sell travel insurance, but this is in the States. Start calling reputable insurance companies, and I mean reputable. There are those out there who will say anything to get your money, unfortunately. Talk to a live agent and ask direct questions, i.e. pre-existing. There are those that do and those that don't. With the company I covered it usually was if there had been a recent flare up or problem which determined if the coverage would hold for pre-existing, but I am going back a number of years.

I am also a PADI scuba diver and say a huge hooray to you. Haven't been able to do it in too long, but, like you, I keep that word 'ABLE' in caps and the 'dis' I do everything to dismiss!

Good luck, you bring back good memories.....

I use Travel Guard...they have various levels of coverage and the prices vary by what you select.

Booked flights...we are going to Maldives in december/Jan....scuba diving. One upside..have persuaded hubby to buy posh seats on the plane so i can lie flat. Also long stop over in Middle East on the way....should be luxurious.
