Bridging

Hi, ive not been on for a while but needed to know how people have fared on bridging. I've been bridging for about 14 days. I know it's been a bit long but was due a colonoscopy on 31st which was cancelled the day before then had a breast biopsy two days ago but will be back on warfarin tonight. My INR is 0.9 at the moment. Anyway I feel absolutely dreadful, lifeless and exhausted. Has anyone felt this way while bridging. I've bridged before but cannot remember feeling so bad. Many thanks

Had to bridge a few months ago, INR down to 1.1. Don't remember feeling any different.

Thank you, I can't remember feeling so bad last time I bridged, not sure what's going on then.

I would be feeling very poorly with an inr this far below therapeutic range.

Are you still taking Warfarin or just Heparin injections to bridge? If you've stopped Warfarin then no point doing INR as a different measurement is needed for blood "thickness" is used ie -anti factorXa.

Hi, I needed my INR for the Biopsy, the original bridging was for the cancelled colonoscopy the week before. I started back on the warfarin on Friday night and still on Heparin at the moment. I have my first INR tomorrow. But still feeling absolutely fatigued. Just can't figure out why I'm feeling so bad. I just wondered if anyone else felt the same while bridging.

Thank you Kelly, I'm back on the warfarin and also found out iron level was low so now on high doses of iron. I'm beginning to feel more human again. I've got to start bridging again in 3 weeks for the colonoscopy and I'm dreading feeling like that again.
