high. CRP over 50

hi sorry I haven’t said so before but hope everyone is having a good Christmas, anyway I was tested for this because I was getting a lot of pains in my joints, it’s come back really high, no one has mentioned APS

They have started me on MST (morphine) gabapentin as well as antibiotics along with the usual pills hand full. I am being seen by another hospital from the one that treats me for APS just wondering if I should mention it although they should know !

Thanks

The short answer: YES! Never assume the doctors know or the Hospitals! You can’t rely they read your notes!

Make a list & go through it all!

Wishing you a happy & healthy 2023!

thank you I was wondering, as i haven’t had the best care over the last 30 years, it’s a university hospital in the U.K., I am also seen by st Thomas’s but I haven’t had this bone pain before

I am so sorry to read this! Put yourself first! You must ask for CT Scan to see what’s going on! Don’t be fobbed off by junior doctors who simply don’t know!

You can talk to me anytime!

Please get in touch with St Thomas' and explain your new and sore symptom and tell them your test result, you need to be reappraised by a team who fully understand Hughes Syndrome/APS MaryF

I have been booked in for a groin ultrasound tomorrow then I am seeing someone in the lung functioning clinic probably in the next few weeks so they are doing some tests but ? The right ones my husband is getting really fed up and I don’t really blame him, I am not much fun to live with

Have you already started Gabapentin and Antibiotics? You should really talk to someone who understands APS first. Listen to the two wise ladies above.

Best wishes and a happy new 2023

thank you for your comments I have started on gabapentin and amoxicillin

I have also been put on mst x2 a day morphine and or oramoph for pain

I had my ultrasound sound yesterday no hernia, or mass which is good, I could have told them so

I saw myself walking yesterday with the door bell camera, I couldn’t believe what I looked like 62,and I look 82

I think the lab results were automatically sent to Adenbrooks such is a major hospital but you are right I should speak to st Thomas’s as well
