Merry Christmas to All I’ve read a couple of medical articles that indicates, even at a low dose of prednisone, the vaccine is not nearly as effective, than if a person were to be on other immunosuppressants, and it is puzzling to some scientists as to why this is. I’ve deleted the articles by accident, and cannot remember what website I was in, so that’s why I’m reaching out to see if anyone else has read or heard of this! Thank you.🎄😊

My doctors never tell me anything so I am in the dark with this.I take 10 mg prednisolone and have since 2012
I take prednisalone 3mgs daily and after the first 2 vaccines my antibody test showed I had a good response tothe vaccine
I was an English major, so, take what I offer with a load of salt. But doesn't prednisone tamp down autoimmune response? Then a reduced vaccine response would be logical. But a lowered response is still a response - which is good. Like.... your immune system has learned to read English and the virus speaks Dutch. Enough overlap for the immune system to mount an earlier response.

Yes, it does lower the vaccines efficacy. It does By what percentage would depend on many factors. ( strength, amount of time on the prednisone…)
