Interesting article from Beverley Hunt regarding DOACs in APS
Thanks for posting- you just beat me to it.
Thanks, interesting (as I'm on Dabigatran, but have been for over 7 years and was unstable on warfarin).
I wish researchers would reach out to our groups and survey us directly. There are several of us who use doacs without issues.
I am triple positive and on apixiban for 3 1/2 years, and I'm doing well. This is after 10 1/2 years on warfarin and doing very poorly. One drug, warfarin, is the standard treatment and probably for good reason, however it was bad for me personally. So I'm glad I had the option to switch to apixiban, which allows me a better life!
We are all different, with different needs, and we have to have a good relationship with our APS specialist or other doctors, and trust them .
I would love to see a study where the 4 DOACs are represented equally. Here there was only 1 person on Edoxaban. Only 4 on Dabigatran and 12 on apixiban, with 54 on Rivaroxaban. Studies are expensive and time consuming, for sure. I'd just like to see apples compared to apples.
Just my opinion
Hi RazD,
I am tripple positive incl Lupus Anticoagulant with very high titres since 2002. I am on Warfarin since 2012 and they have not found any clots whatsoever on me here in Stockholm.
I have two Specialists treating me since 2006 and I have had TIAs and microembolies.
I must only use Warfarin when tripple positive incl Lupus Anticoagulant.
Best wishes to you!
