Only a doctor can tell you why.

There can be many reasons for bleeding and any new symptoms should be investigated by a doctor.

IMHO Please don’t delay & go to your GP. It may be nothing but don’t ask on forums. You need to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist.

With good wishes,

Are you still on Apixiban? Could this be the cause?

My dad recently spent a few days in the hospital for this same symptom. In the end after running every test, procedure and imaging they determined it was a combination of his blood pressure lowering meds and Xarelto. So everything was ordered to lower dosage and removing one BP med. He is fine now.
