well.what a strange turn of events.
during lockdown I asked my granddaughter(who lives with me) to go and get the gazebo out of the attic.
This was because they had just said we could have up to 6 in the garden and we had arranged for her mum(my daughter) and her brother and sister to visit, and I was afraid it might rain
As she passed it down to me a bit of rockwool went in my eye.
it was sore,so I sat with a flannel on it for a bit.
I didn't get it checked out as one, I was mad busy, two I was a bit wary of the hospital at the time, and three, I hoped it would sort itself out.
the next day we had our visit, but just before they arrived, I slipped on the abandoned poles on the wet grass (my granddaughter had tried to erect gazebo but given up) and promptly broke my elbow.
this kind of took away the focus on the eye.
anyway, fast forward and I have been having pain in my eye on and off and eventually got round to telling gp
he told me to have some sort of special eye test, which I booked, but due to someone not turning up at work the optician re arranged.
at the time of booking I honestly believed there was something in my eye, but by today, when the appointment came round I knew that wasn't the case, as both eyes were effected.
anyway, she said my sjorgrens was more severe, and I said hmm, funny you should be saying that now, as they now say I don't have it.
I told her all my lupus unit woes.
she said "well I don't believe you don't have it"
she asked if I still have a specialist, I said No, she said I will refer you.
She said she usually refers direct, to the local hospital, but as I have been to the lupus unit before she could either refer me directly to CUH, or write to my gp and ask him to send me back to the lupus unit.
I went for the local hospital, as I,m fed upset with the unit right now.
