Pneumonia,Prednisone, & Sticky Blood!

Hi All it’s been a hellava summer! July 29’ I woke up with pain all over my body! Thought I had flu! Went to my doc and couldn’t breathe! He made very light of it gave me z-pal and said 4 days ul be better! Next day worse went to Urgent care! She could only hear wheezing! Got X-ray, have Pneumonia! She wanted me to go to hospital, but had no one to care for my son! So sick! Tuk antibiotics and got worse! Went to urgent care again! Have too much air in lungs over inflated! On hi dose prednisone for 3 weeks! Think I’m on mend, but all my autoimmune diseases come out with a vengeance! My Burning Mouth Syndrome back ! All 4 in flare Sjogren too! Yesterday I look at my only foot and skin coming off in chunks! Just peeling like a banana! Dark red it turned! Today as day goes on it’s getting deep red and black n blue marks popping up outa nowhere! I’m in pain Call my Pulmonologist and he says go to ER! I have to wait to get someone for Keith my handicapped son and here I sit watching black n blues pop out! My pulmonologist said Prednisone helps one thing, but cause I got connective tissue disease, 4 in all! They’re in flare and he’s afraid I could be throwing clots! I’m waiting for tests results! I’m going on trip to Nashville with Nanny Lynn and my Son Keith on September 26-October 3rd! A much needed vacation after taking care of my poor hubby with cancer, heart attack, chemo and radiation, all the while with Alzheimer’s! I was overwhelmed and had been run into ground! My hubby in nursing home cuz I can’t care for him and my son is 62 with Wms. Syndrome and failing badly! No stats on his age cuz they don’t live after 62 & that’s rare! Please pray we can go on this one trip and Do some Honky Tonking! I hope Y’all are well and happy Godspeed! I’ll keep u posted on results!!! Thanks for listening

Yes it does seem everything comes along at once, your spirit will get you through this (massive) hurdle.

Your son is brave too, and seems to have inherited your characteristic nature of beating everything against the odds.

Really hope you feel better soon and in time for your holiday.

Awe thx they called in another doctor! Want to check my heart to c if A-Fib cuz I seem to be throwing clots, but they don’t know what kind and need to keep eye on my one n only foot! I got beautiful platforyshoes that I thougyand waited to come back! It’s rare, but I got 2 pair! I must wear flat shoes with my Prosthetic Leg and I get to be a fancy tall Lady in Red again! Great for the mind! And comply for the foot!!! Lol... thx again! Godspeed

Oh, this sounds extremely concerning, challenging, confusing, anxiety inducing, and.... painful.

Are all of your doctors communicating well with one another?

I keep hearing you talk about your pulmonologist, but I’m not hearing a very important word... Hematologist!

What’s your INR doing? The antibiotics can really alter the INR.

I’m on high dose solumedrol right now. It spikes up the INR initially.

Orally it does also.

Do the know what caused the cellulitis?

How is that linked to pneumonia?

Are you at risk of sepsis?

Hi Kelly I take Lovenox/Enexoparin shots Daily! My hemotologist secretary trid to shlof me off on Pulmonologist, but I made sure he got message and on Wednesday they put me in for Friday! Wen I called Sec’y and told her small clot they wanted me to come in ASAP! I’m going Wednesday! I may need a higher dosage! We shall see! Thx for ur concern and we shall keep in touch! God Bless You!
