I am not a medical doctor! However, if you are on blood thinners and/or taking cortico-steroids, which thins the skin, you will be prone to bruising. My elderly mother, has permanent bruises on her arms as if she had been severely beaten. Each time I inject MTX weekly, permanent bruising can remain.
I take cortico-steroids & blood thinners & also have bruises all over my body. Recently, I had to see a consultant who looked at my legs & was concerned until I mentioned cortico-steroids, baby aspirin, Plaquenil . . . .
You can have bruising even where you are convinced you haven't been knocked!
My question is why are you concerned, even though your doctor assures you? You don't have to answer this question here, but if you are feeling anxious about your condition, I would encourage you to talk to someone about your understandable concerns. It is "normal" to have these feelings so go and get some help because feeling concerned affects your quality of life and should be taken seriously.
With good wishes,
Ros

HI, If your GP thinks you are ok, that is a good start, but do go back should it really get worse, and do photograph anything extraordinary. Bad bruising often occurs with the types of medications that a lot of us have to use, and some people also have a low platelet count called Thrombocyctopenia which can also cause bruising. I hope your bruises calm down soon! MaryF
