So finally my bloods are better. If you have followed my posts you will remember I went up to 9.8 then came down slowly- them jumped to 13.9 then 48 hours later was 2.5. I continued to go up and down and now seem to have settled and am 4.8. (Range 3.5-4-5) they try to keep me 4-4.5. As I suffer muscle aches and migraines under 4.
But... now at 4.8 I’m on day 4 of a migraine!
Can anyone explain why I might have this when my INR is over 4 or is it just one of those things? Thanks 💋

HI, you headache could be there for any variety of reasons, and I do suggest you go to the GP if this does not resolve, some people get rebound headaches if on medication to get a migraine under control, ie they get a headache as they come off painkillers? This certainly can happen to myself, not that I can tolerate many, but if I do have something, I cut down the dose slowly rather than suddenly. Also before I treated my B12 deficiency years back, my migraines were worse. MaryF
Hi, sorry your still going through it, if your INR is stable, then your migrane could relate to something else and maybe has all along?
Im not on warfarin, so cant relate, but I still get migraines about twice a year, usually when Ive had a period of long work days, lots of stress etc.
But we are not medical advisors and I would suggest (& you wont like this bit), that you put a call through to your GP, expecially if it persists or gets worse?
I have headache today but that is because of the weather with thunderstorms. I have heard that if we get too high INR we can get a bit of dizziness and headache because of too thin blood but not very severe.
Sorry you're suffering so badly ☹️. It could be that your body just hasn't recovered yet, when my INR drops, sometimes it can take me a few days, up to a few weeks to recover!
I learnt that by posting on here, when I was still suffering with my flare up symptoms, even though my INR had been back in range for a while. I think it might have been KellyinTexas who asked me if my INR had been low during the previous couple of weeks and it had. If you've produced a some micro clots, it can take quite a while for your body to clear these and for the blood to be able to get back into your micro blood vessels.
Do you keep a diary detailing your INR results, how you're feeling, what meds you've taken, what you've been eating and drinking etc? It's only after I began keeping a detailed diary like this, that I've been able to trace what it is that's causing my symptoms APS symptoms, or other symptoms not directly related to the APS.
Thank you. My INR has been erratic and I’ve felt terrible since I had a 24 hour sick bug about a month ago. There’s no reason I just feel exhausted an pained. X
It sounds to me like you're in a flare up, anything can trigger your antibodies and start an autoimmune flare up and this can even happen when your INR is in range unfortunately. 🙁
