I take omega 3 supplements. My doctor told me that I just have to adjust my coumadin accordingly. So if it causes my INR to go up, then I should decrease my coumadin dosing.

I do but I was taking it before starting Warfarin .

I don't (since warfarin), having been told not to by doctors.

Talk to your doctor - patients and doctors are all different (I do eat fish), your doctor's advice may vary.

Ive taken them on and off for years and have not noticed much impact on my INR. We are all different in how our bodies metabolize stuff. Sun exposure, however, raises my INR. I'm weird.

Before my most recent stroke, I was on warfarin and low dose aspirin. Since my stroke was caused by a bleed this time, I'm off of warfarin for the time being using Lovenox injections twice a day. My hematologist added 1000 mg of Omega 3 fatty acids at my most recent appointment as an anti platelet measure to replace the aspirin. As others on here have mentioned, please check with your doctor first.

Hi fish oil is good for inflammation, but if you were to start it on Warfarin, you could make your blood too thin. I have been on it since I was around 12 year's old, but I am not taking Warfarin. Any new idea needs to be discussed with your Hughes Syndrome/APS consultant and your GP. I have not added any papers in as you have already got some to read. MaryF

Having been told at my lupus appointment last week I could have arthritis I went out and got some COD liver oil tablets , I’ve akways been wary of supplements like not taking gingseng etc but it did not occur to my educated naive self that oil may interfere with warfarin. My reading next week may be interesting .

When diagnosed with Lupus and Sjogrens, many years ago; Professor D’Cruz told me to take them. I take the same ones every morning and so when I started Warfarin I kept to the same regime.

I assumed provided I take the same ones at the same dose and the same time every day they wouldn’t affect the Warfarin.

Am I right in my thinking? 💋
