Hello, New to all of this. On 10/12 I tested high (20) for Hexagonal Phospholipid Neutral, and high (27) for Anticardiolipin Ab, IGM. My APTT was high (30.6). I retested 6 weeks later (under advice of Rheumatologist) and now my Hexagonal Phospholipid is high (23) and my Lupus Anticoag/Cardiolipin Ab is high (12.1). My C4 is low at 12, and my C3 is 83, normal range. My INR is 1.1. I also tested negative for all autoimmune diseases. I am seeing a hematologist next week for interpretation. I am currently trying to conceive. I haven't had any "events", had a healthy full term pregnancy 18 months ago, no miscarriages. Any other thoughts on what I should be tested for? What questions should I ask the hematologist?

HI, I am so pleased you are seeing a consultant regarding. I think the Haematologist will be able to full answer your questions, as long as they one of our recommended ones, as no point seeing somebody with only half the working knowledge needed. I would also check your D, B12 folate, ferritin and a full thyroid profile beyond the TSH, unfortunately they often only do the TSH test, if you want to order your own private panel of Thyroid tests, which have a fast turn around time, so that nothing is missed, please come back to me, some hospitals also do Thyroid antibodies, anyway let us know if you need further help. I have company I regularly uses which gives me a discount I can pass on, and Lynn uses a different one, but they are all pretty good. With your results, you definitely need regular monitoring and some proper advice before embarking on another pregnancy, congrats on your last one! MaryF

Hi,

I just want to tell you that an INR of 1.1 is normal for a person not anticoagulated at all.

I am also Lupus Anticoagulant positive and need an INR of nearly 4.0 to feel ok as I am on Warfarin to thin my otherwise sticky blood.
