I was diagnosed 16 years ago with APS after I had my second daughter, my first daughter was stillborn at 40 weeks.
I had a blood clot at the age of 19 and apart from migraines which I suffered really badly with for years but seem better now I now have achy joints and severe tiredness and im 51 years old.
After birth of my daughter they told me I had,APS and that I needed to start taking aspirin every day which I still do. BUT I have severe tiredness all time and I wondered does any one else suffer with this.
I've just had more blood taken and I'm awaiting on the next latest results. Thanks for listening Sally x

Hi, I think it is good that you are getting checked out again, a lot of us struggle with fatigue some severely so. It is important to check out other things in addition to our ongoing issues with Hughes Syndrome/APS. It is advisable to look at your levels of Vitamin D, B12 and Iron, plus a full Thyroid panel, unfortunately often only the TSH is done which is not very accurate, a lot of us on here privately order our own more detailed tests, if you look below you will see a post about that. If any of the above mentioned things are at a low level, then you will be more tired than you need to be. I hope you have a good consultant helping you check things out. MaryF
Based on my experience I suggest exploring possibility of food allergies, Doctors who help with identifying food issues are becoming more common and are grouped as alternative or functional practitioners. For myself, I found I have gluten sensitivity and an allergy to cashews. If one eats a food which aggravates the immune system, then that immune system will turn on and create fatigue. After giving up gluten in 2004 all my blood work went fron ' scary' to ' boring.' Since, with doctors help, discovering my cashew allergy my energy level has sky rocketed. It is wierd that friends the same age complain about losing energy when my trajectory has been quite the opposite
