If a pen test is a blood test from the doctors eg using needles / bottles, mine is but everyone is different, best to discuss this with your Doctor

Hidden Yes, I have APS (aniphospolypid syndrome with Deep vein thrombosis) I suffering with this since july 2015. I get PT, INR tested 2ce monthly, wanted to know if the machine for testing this (Cogucheck) shows accurate results when compared to the lab test.

Are you positive to Lupus anticoagulant also? What is your therapeutic level at present? As you are only doing bloodtests for INR twice monthly I think you do not have a Specialist of APS. That is really too seldom to test. You should at least test every week.

I am LA positive and triplepositive with high titres and I am at present testing another Coaguchek-machine. as I have too big differences and can not rely on the machine-result.

Best wishes

I do not understand your answer. There are three antibodies when you test for APS and Lupus Anticoagulant is one of the three. Not everyone with APS is positive to LA but you can have the diagnose if testing positive to one of the three antibodies. If having LA positive in your blood can make it difficult to use a selftesting-machine because the differences between the vein-value and the fingerprick-value can be huge and not reliable. So are you LA positive as this is important to know before you buy your selftesting machine?

I ask you again what therapeutic level has your Rheumatologist put you on as to your INR when you take Warfarin?

Are you sure you have got APS?
