This link comes from a brain health email link concerning impaired thinking when one has the flu. But I wouldn't be surprised if this also explains the brain fog many of us experience when our APS is not treated well.

reason behind brain fog?
That seems like a good hypothesis to me. In the past plaquenil seemed to help with brain fog. Now higher doses of prednisone helps, although prednisone is its own can of worms.
Agree 👍 even a common cold has adverse effects on my brain fog!! And completely messes with my blood.
good points - I have the most problems when i am having flares of which have been quite a bit lately .INR has been ok but that really doesn't mean much with me i still have the flares and DVT'S also
Sorry your issues continue. Your perseverance and resolve are inspiring - though I’m pretty sure those are not the words you would use.
Maybe, I've never had flu or even a cold and never had brain fog either.
Prior to having sinus surgeries I used to have sinus infections so often I didn't even know I had them. And when I had a really bad one, November, December with high fever, my head would be so bad I actually drove down the wrong side of the road and didn't know it until, well a few screaming passengers alerted me to the fact. And now, maybe those days have done some damage. I had an appointment today with my hema and he is going to get me some help, not sure it's possible with thought process.
Good luck! Hope you make some progress.
