Hi everyone,I was diagnosed in 2016 but had diplopia episode in 2007 during this I started replacing words with others such as brown chichen as turkey window sill was the fireplace etc but as my diagnosis of APS with Lps there has been an increase then the sudden forgetting what I was saying mid sentence loosing words Im trying to say( I know it's not dementia ) been tested . It made my job difficult as well as talking to people, strang e looks were a obvious sign I found if I was interrupted I'd loose my flow of conversation. So my problem is is this all sign of brain fog as I realized I can't do simple maths either so I started a course level 2 functional skills , my tutor realized the same issue with my maths I'm ready for my exam but here,s the twist city and guilds won't give me extra time I need a consultants letter to prove this condition.i and other ( tutors company and DWP think this is disability discrimination. I love with this every day not my consultant or my Gp why should I need to prove my illness to them. Any advice

hi. Do you have a naturalpathic doctor near you? Get a hair analysis done to check for heavy metals and a food intolerance test.

Unfortunately, heavy metals are in the air, foods, aluminum foil, cans, vaccines………. I was able to detox and get rid of the toxic heavy metals. I also found out I can’t have gluten, eggs and sugar.

All combined has helped my overall health. Heavy metals and fluoride are hard on the brain and organs. Along with pesticides

Eat clean….. we are challenged enough with these autoimmune disorders. Hugs to you :)

From what I read it is like ceramic. If cut or manipulated, the dust can be harmful. Are you exposed to this?

HI there Dawnzy. I am not sure if you live in the UK but you make reference to your company. I guess this is your employer? If that is the case then you can ask to be referred to an in-house or external Occupational Health Service. They can then recommend workplace and/or study adjustments for your employer and/or tutors. They now know of your condition so need to seek advice. If they chose to not accept this independent advice then yes it could be classed as disability discrimination. Another alternative is to self refer to a government scheme called Access to Work (gov.uk/access-to-work/eligi.... The DWP should have provided this advice. They are an excellent free service and after assessment they will make it clear what adjustments you require.

It feels annoying when you need to keep proving that you have APS but work with them and you will sort it out. Good luck with your exams

I was diagnosed with aphasia secondary to APS. My neurologist had a PhD neuro- Psychologist give me tests to measure the deficits in specific areas. ( word finding problems also…)

I also have epilepsy from APS.

Try this route, perhaps.
