Hydroxychloroquine

New report regarding hydroxychloroquine. I have been on this for over 10 years, originally prescribed for sjrogrens but now learning also good for APS & Lupus patients.

I am hearing that people with Hughes Syndrome/APS are prescribed it more regularly now, not just for the fatigue issues, but also as it does seem to help with clotting issues, although more studies will be done, I have heard of this being described as anecdotally, with regard to thinning the blood, from a medical perspective. Yes they are the same thing Kerstin. I say I take hydroxychloroquine and my haematologist calls it plaquenil.

Plaquenil/hydroxychloroquine are the same drug, the best brand for us is from Zentiva. There are other suppliers but some people report nasty side effects.

Thanks Kelly! That is what I have neard before but forgotten. Zentiva is the name.
