Finally went to Doc for bodyaches

I went to my back doctor and he asked me about osteoporosis! I forgot I had that and have my fosomax in drawer that I forgot I had! So I better start taking it and more vitamin D! He said I cud have slight fracture! Supposed to get X-rays , but he forgot to give me papers for X-ray! Next time! I must go back for knee shots anyway! I hope y'all r enjoying ur summer! Hi Debb

Ive only recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis. Cant believe that I got it at this time of life and wonder whether one of my autoimmune conditions might have been implicated.

Anyways, Ive read that, in addition to vit D and calcium, its also important to make sure you are getting enough magnesium and boron. Ive been trying buckwheat as it has very high magnesium and can be tasty enough in the right recipe. Also of course meant to have enough vit K2 but I know that can be problematic with APS.

Make sure the fosomax hasn't expired! I'm so glad there may be a simple solution- and here's hoping to no fracture...

Debb, check with your doctor first, but Vitamin D-3/K2 is supposed to be better than just vit d. We purchase drops that we place under out tongue, hold, swallow. It seems to work pretty rapid and is reasonably priced. I think I can say we purchase it on amazon. About $18.00 and change for a bottle.

I don't think the 1mg of K2 significantly impacts blood thickness or issues. Again, I'm not a doctor.
