Does anyone take Arnica tablets whilst taking warfarin and aspirin?
I was kicked by a horse last week in the leg and have lots of bruising and wondered if Arnica would help. I read some where that Arnica can have a thinning effect on the blood,

I would not take it, even though I am on Aspirin and not Warfarin, however you would probably be ok to apply the cream topically, taking it orally would more than likely cause an interaction with your Warfarin and upset your IRN. MaryF
Thanks Mary, I thought that might be so. I will try the cream once I can touch my leg as it's still very sore. Nurse came yesterday and bandaged it up and dressed the wound. Hoping Doctor will prescribe stronger pain relief.
The amount of arnica in a homeopathic is not going to affect your INR. I've been on warfarin for 8 years now and taken arnica for the bruises caused by the warfarin (Coumadin) on multiple occasions and successfully lessened their duration. Since I self-test, I can tell you that it did not affect my INR level. Topically would be the best though. It will work faster and affect the bloodstream less. The interaction of Arnica and Coumadin is based on the way the herb affects the blood when taken as a tincture (more concentrated form) which we don't usually use in USA any longer.
