I have an appointment with Dr. Fiona Goldblatt on the 4th of November but my symptoms are quite severe and incapacitating, hence I can’t imagine waiting for another 5 ½ months for treatment. I was wondering if anyone knew of any other APS specialists/doctors in Adelaide? Many thanks!

Adelaide, Australia- APS specialists?
I'm in Sydney so I can't help but it is generally a Rheumy +/- Haematologist. Who diagnosed you and what's your INR? If things are grim your GP should be able to get you in sooner or suggest a few names. Usually have a wait of a couple of months but November is just a bit ridiculous.
Are you seeing her as an outpatient at the hospital or in her rooms? The hospital clinics (while free, ie: medicare) usually have long waiting lists as a new patient but you can also ask to go on a cancellation list in case someone cancels. Looking at her schedule on the web it seems she's only there one day a week - hence the long wait.
I live in Adelaide and have APS.
I recently saw Dr Nath, who is a haematologist, and I am seeing Dr Goldblatt too.
I don't know of anyone else in Adelaide who has APS!
I have had many DVTs and PE.

Hi a lot go and see Dr Tim Godfrey over in Melbourne, other than that it is word of mouth on here, let us know how you get on. MaryF
Thanks so much for all the answers, I really appreciate them. You have given me lots of ideas to follow through on.
My partner has APS and we live in Adelaide. He sees a range of specialists however for the APS side of things his haematologist is Dr Simon McRae and a Dr Vidya Kimaye Rheumatologist both at the RAH. His INR range is 2.5 - 3.5.
