Hi.

I'm grateful to be able to ask a question here and hope I can get some understanding.

I had a positive anticardiolipin IGM test and then 6 months later it was negative.

Not sure what that really means.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi

I had a positive lupus anticoagulant test which turned negative. As I had lots of symptoms and a very poor obstetric history I still received a diagnosis and treated with warfarin. The blood tests only show part of the puzzle I have learned myself! X

Sorry not so fab I was told by expert Rheumy in NYC that he does NOT believe in seri-negative APS! Now I read where Dr. Hughes says it is a fact! At any rate I believe Dr. Hughes as he invented and found this! I don't believe half the things I was told anyway! I'm just confused by such an expert after reading this blog by Doc Hughes! Maybe this Rheumotologist needs to read up on what our beloved Dr. Hughes says b4 jumping to his own conclusions! It says what Rheumotologists shud know! Maybe I'll b kind and send it to him lol...I'm sure he's a fine Acadamien, but shouldn't confuse people! Not laughing! Lol... Yes I am! I think I just got my answer after reading dr. Hughes blog !!! Omg did he clear a lot up for me and now I know what I'm doing with my health is correct!!!

It is possible to go in and out of negative testing.  They would also look at your medical history and symptoms also.     MaryF
