Had a DVT in left Calf, thought I had torn a ligament at first, it hurt like anything as the blood pushed around to point it put me on crutches as I could not walk.
Then when PE hit felt like I had broke 6 ribs!
Getting rid got rid of pain and so far (2 1/4 years) no noticeable residual pain.
Hi M
I had a dvt in my thigh two years ago, went unoticed until one day my thigh felt cold and hard and I asked my boyfriend to take me to hospital as I suspected a dvt, the hospital then discovered multi clots on my lungs, including two either side of my heart, but i had no chest pain just breathlessness for months which was diagnosed as athsma. In answer to one of your questions i continue to have really deep pain in my dvt leg including my thigh and groin. Sometimes it feels as if i am having a vein pulled out. i can now only gentley exercise no squats etc. My consultant has told me that veins can get damaged following a dvt and hopefully may recover as time goes on. My leg is certainly better than it was following hospitalisation. x
Hi, before we engage with you regarding this subject, do you have a firm diagnosis of Hughes Syndrome/APS, and where were you diagnosed, please let us know. Thank you. MaryF
