Hi where are you located! Sometimes Hughes Syndrome/APS will be picked up in a medical setting if they think to investigate, the break itself will not have caused it, however it is known problem that spontaneous fractures can occur sometimes in the feet, this has been documented. MaryF

Hey

Thanks for answering

I need your help. I'm trying to convince court that the accident I had is the trigger to the appirence for my APS. If you may send me links of the documented articles it will help a lot.

Thank you again

If you do an internet search via google you will find plenty of articles on Hughes Syndrome/APS, I hope you understand that I can't personally get involved in research for a court case. Any published papers will show up, either in shortened or full form. MaryF

I broke my foot just from putting it down wrong one day. Weird. I was told that this does occur with some regularity and probably had nothing to do with APS. I wore a special foot brace for a week, then transitioned to sturdy shoes , for a few weeks. Then everything was and continues to be, fine.

I had Lyme Disease; and was also experiencing "stress to the max"....my Rheumatologist says that if

we are "genetically" predisposed to having an Autoimmune Disorder...a major life stressor can make it appear....my paternal grandmother...was in great health and at age 65 had a "clotting" issue(stroke) on the brain.deteriorated ...and died in a few years..this happened 50 years ago....I was diagnosed at age 60

and have NO DOUBT I was heading towards getting a stroke... thankfully, I was diagnosedearly

Hi Luisa,

I think your Rheumatologist is right there! I had a traumatic divorce at age 50 which brought it on no doubt or made it worse.

Stay well Luisa!
