I am always a tad untrusting of press reports, particularly the daily mail, but here is one that may be of interest to our lady members. dailymail.co.uk/health/arti...

Claim that blood thinners for pregnant women don't work- except for those with APS
Clearly there is not enough knowledge of Hughes Syndrome/APS, I am sure it will be discounted! Partly as it would rule out those with Seronegative Hughes/APS if a doctor was not careful enough MaryF
A very interesting article. I'm glad it recognises that blood thinners work for those with APS. I can safety say I'm living proof of that. With heparin I had a completely normal pregnancy. That's no coincidence after a still birth, two miscarriages and several years of infertility!!
Thanks for the heads up Tim. It's an interesting study and I'm sure there will be some challenges to it - I can't see it changing the current treatment plan for women with APS, but let's hope it encourages other studies to build the body of evidence.
Agree with your misgivings about the Daily Hate ... sorry Mail The tabloid gutter press in disguise ... Nice to see they are being sued by a few people at the moment.
