Hi, I am so proud of my 2 daughters - Louise & Emma, they are running for the foundation and been in training for months. Louise (above) has APS and has suffered since age 20, however she is such a determined young Lady and although she has not been well lately she is determined to do this run. Please read.......

Hello

You can help Louise raise money for this great cause by donating directly to their fundraising page - justgiving.com/Louise-Jones....

JustGiving sends your donation straight to Hughes Syndrome Foundation and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.

Thank you for your support!

Best Wishes

Katrina

Thanks Katrina - and so you should be proud of your two brave daughters, I'm sure all the other APS patients on here appreciate what they are doing to help raise awareness and research :)

I hope Louise manages the thirteen miles - it's a terrific goal to set herself when she has APS too, but I am sure she will come through. I've been in touch with both Louise and Emma, but please can you remind them that I'd like some photos for the charity's newsletter and e-shot please.

Hope their last week of training goes well and that you all enjoy the day.

Thank You All so much for your replies. This is getting really exciting for us. I emailed the local radio (Scarlet Radio 97.5 FM) they are talking Live to Louise at 10.30 tomorrow (26th Feb) about the condition etc. Also Radio Carmarthenshire now want to interview Louise at the Run on Sunday. Her Employer HSBC will fund match sponsorship up to £500. Since this has been highlighted at HSBC Swansea, another young lady has said she also has APS and suffered a stroke at age 19. I am determined to highlight this very serious condition and all the work the Foundation do. Will keep you updated xx

and it goes without saying that anything we receive on here, I always copy over to Kate H at the charity! MaryF

Thanks for emailing direct Katrina - as I said, WELL DONE! Raising awareness locally is extremely important as you have proved by already finding another young APS patient. I hope the radio interview goes well and it will certainly help with getting the message across - I will be listening tomorrow morning :) x
