Has anyone experienced a burst blood ... - Hughes Syndrome A...
Has anyone experienced a burst blood vessel in the eye while on Coumadin?
Thank you for your response. I called my ophthalmologist and he basically indicated the same thing.
Derek had one recently. His Dr wasn't at all worried and said he sees it quite a bit in people on Warfarin. It's not ideal, but not a serious worry either.
Yes, 2, both times I felt nothing and then was asked " what have you done to your eye?". They went quietly away in a week or so.
This has happened to me three times in the past three years. My warfarin levels are always between the required level, 2-3. It has been 2-5 for the past 4 months, my INR level today states 2-6. I had asked my GP, he made no comments, just looked into my eyes, my pharmacist stated it was possible. My optician suggested get the warfarin tested again, I did, no problem. I just keep a watch now.
Yes and no. I've had burst blood vessels a few times, but a few weeks ago my entire left eye was filled with blood - no other symptoms. It didn't look like anything I could see online, this had happened a few years back, and I was told it was nothing so I wasn't that worried, but I went to hospital as I was due to fly a few days later. The only medication I'm on is aspirin and folic acid. Doctors said stop the aspirin. Phoned heomotologist, she said take a month of aspirin (inr lowish last time checked).
That was close to three weeks ago, its now almost perfect. Glad I checked for physical injury though.
