Does hiv transmit via oralsex?

A guy gave me oralsex. Does hiv transmit like that? I didn’t suck him, but he fingered me after he took on himself. Should I be worried?

Whilst it’s not been proven to be impossible if there were open cuts on your genitals and his tongue, the chances are below 1%.

The risk of transmission from oral sex is very very low and requires there to be open sores/serious bleeding to transmit. What you are describing is a very very low risk scenario.

It is also common for people to experience hiv health anxiety. This is a broader health anxiety picture and help should be sought from a psychologist or doctor as this is unlikely to be anxiety about hiv only.

Hi Brad and welcome to the forum. If you review Loubbis' posts, you will see that she has singificant health/HIV anxiety and has had many replies and input from other members of the forum and myself. She really requires professional input as she keeps coming back with multiple different "at risk " scenarios , which are either low or no risk, or symptoms that she worries are HIV related. She is well aware that she needs proper help in managing this , and I have ceased replying to her purely to prevent fuelling her anxieties.
