Hiv from needle

Last Thursday I got bitten by a unknown insect, after it bitten me I got inching, vomit, and stomach pain.so,I visited hospital to get TT injection.in that hospital after consulting the doctor we have to go to nurse cabin to get injection.after injection we have to pay to the nurse.

after consulting the doctor,I went to nurse cabin to get injection.there she was registering the next patient's name and there was already a patient inside the room who got injected before me.

So,when I informed her that I have to get TT injection, she took a new syringe and filled it with the medicine in to it.during that the person who injected before me came to pay to the nurse.nurse collected the amount with the same hand where she has my syringe and that currency note made contacr with my needle.after that she injected it in to my hip and all these things happened within a minute.

My question is if the patient has her blood in her hand from rubbing the needle injection site and with the same hand she paid to nurse and that currency note made contact with the needle which is injected into me means can it transfer hiv to me?

another thing is when I asked her for injection she was registering another patients name after collecting the money,as most of them are suffering from cold or fever,if that patient has cough or runny nose, and with the same hand if they paid means can it Tranfer hiv to me I'm asking this because that currency note is touched by both nurse and that patient before it touched my needle and injected into me.

I don't know the status of those previous patienst.so,it's worring me too much.

Please help me.

A HIV virus dose not last up to five seconds alive as long as if its open and air can torches it,it dei quick but you can still go for check up

Not really, but consult your doctor

Hi , The HIV virus can not survive outside the human body . It really is quite a hard disease to catch , and it would be almost impossible to become infected in the way you have described .

But time difference between the previous patient and me is only about 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Is that enough?

As said , it would be almost impossible to acquire an HIV infection in the way you have described .

Stop worrying about it !

So,whatever nurse touched before she touched my needle does does not matter even if she has residues of hiv blood in her hand.it won't transmit hiv to me?

Was there blood on the nurses hands ? Seems unlikely because there is not normally any bleeding associated with an injection . Was the previous patient infected with HIV ? Unlikely because most people are not infected . Was there any blood on the needle ? You said the needle touched the money , so how can there be blood on it . As already said IT IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO HAVE BECOME INFECTED WITH HIV THIS WAY .

Okay,I will explain it to you properly now. This is what happened.

As I got bitten by unknown insect,I went to see doctor to get TT injection.after consulting the doctor,I went to the nurse room to get injection.when she was filling the syringe with medicine, the patient who got injected before me paid for her injection with the hand which she rubbed her needle injection site and nurse collected the currency note while having my syringe in her hand.while doing so,that currency note rubbed the needle.

Another thing is the trash bin which is placed to dispose the used syringe is overflowing,so the nurse after injection, she placed the syringe after capping it in vertical position in the trash bin in the place available in the trash bin.so, while doing so she may touched other syringes in the trash bin.

Patient may have her blood from rubbing her needle injection site and nurse may have residues of blood from touching other syringes in the trash bin.

as that currency note was touched by both nurse and the previous patient and that currency note touched the needle before it is injected into me.so,can this transmit hiv to me?

All I can say is that it is very unlikely that you could be infected with HIV in the way you have described .

Yes - here here - it’s always nice to settle those who may be at fear let’s but forget however far we have come it’s still very scary for some - with love x

It is impossible from what you have described, this kind of fear belongs in the 1980's when little was known about transmission routes. Thankfully we have moved on since then, HIV is NOT transmitted in the way you described..... You asked the same question on another respected HIV forum and got the same answer, you had no risk whatsoever, totally irrational thinking....you can safely move on with your life
